Rough Patches

I’m going to be honest here. I had a few ideas for what to write about this post, but I decided I’m going to write about what’s currently going on with me. Get Things Done

A good chunk of psychological noise comes from habitually delaying things that need to be done.  You know you got to do it, but you let it linger, you put it off yet another day.  You rationalize to yourself; perhaps keep busy with some less important activities.  You know the kinds of things I’m talking about:

  • Dental work
  • Going to the doctor
  • Legal matters
  • Doing your taxes
  • Paying bills
  • Getting work done on your car
  • Home repair
  • General organization
  • Personal hygiene

UnADULTerated Happiness

As I prepare to start up this website, I have beehappychidn taking a closer look at what brings me happiness in my daily life.

This morning I had a student, Ji-Won, greet me with what I described in my head at the time as a “pure unadulterated joy” that was so contagious that it really put me in a great frame of mind for the rest of  my day.
